Fit On Click T10 was here with 10 times the excitement in this 10th Edition of this tournament. Introducing the new plate format, where teams who failed to qualify from the group games were handed a second chance to prove themselves.
We welcomed back some of our recurring teams like Dubai Islamic Bank, AW Rostamani, HILTI and Aster. While teams like Noon and Daikin came back after a strong showing in the previous editions.
Debutants of this Edition: Al Basti Mukhta, Himalaya Wellness, Masafi, RAKBANK, More Ideas, Dubai Customs, National Bank of Fujairah, Sharaf DG and Abela & Co.

Inclusion of these many new teams only meant one thing in this tournament which was uncertainty and a lot of surprises. Which this edition 10 did not have a lack of, right from the start the games were tense and exhilarating at the same time.

Surprise, Surprise!
RAKBANK having held a big reputation in the corporate cricket circles failed to deliver in the group stages as they plummeted to compete in the plate cup. On the other hand Noon.com looked stronger than ever as they look to compete in the championship format. Sharaf DG got off to a mixed start and just clinched the Championship spot in their group, what a debut it turned out for them!
Himaliya wellness, Abela&Co and Dubai Customs definitely deserve honourable mentions as even though they were not able to progress to the latter stages of the competition, they certainly entertained us with some strong performances throughout the competition.
One of the best Quarter Finals games contested was the Al Basti & Mukhta Derby, they may be from the same corporate but the competition was fierce as both teams having something to prove this knockout game. The game certainly did not disappoint as the ABM Avengers just escaped with the win as they chased down a modest total put up by the ABM XI with only one wicket to spare.
Things got heated in the Semi finals, as the youngsters of Noon Ninjas came up against the undefeated DIB Knightriders. Noon boys got off to a dream start as they barely conceded any runs in the first couple of overs and the pressure was on!
But after showing some great restraint, knightriders came out firing with all guns blazing to help them to great total which proved to be a little too much for the Noon batting line up to cope with. A great game of cricket to witness at the end of the day.
Not one, but two finals.
The Plate Cup and Championship finals was contested on the final day as Rak Bank faced HILTI on the other side DIB Knightriders went up against ABM Avengers respectively.
Both those finals were contested on two different ends of the spectrum as the Plate Cup was more of quick but ruthless affair as Rak Bank disseminated the HILTI batting line up quickly with some quickfire bowling to give themselves a low target. On the other hand, the Championship went all the way to the very last over with one wicket in hand and 6 runs to get. The trophy was just a big shot away for the ABM Avengers. What a debut it would have been for them. But it was all too good to be true for the Avengers as they gave away a cheap run out to cost them the match and the tournament as DIB Knightriders go onto lift yet another winners trophy.
What a team and a great bunch of players! Can we see a team dethrone DIB Knightriders, many have tried and came close but none have actually followed through.

What a player!
Mohideen of Masafi had played some great all around innings by scoring a decent 68 and taking 3 wickets to take home the Plate Man Of the Series Award.
Arqam for the Hilti Redhawks was like a wall and the most consistent batsman of the lot, which helped him rightfully lift the Plate Best Batsman award.
The Plate Best Bowler was awarded to Syam of Rakbank , one of the great finds of this edition as he lead the team by example by grabbing 5 wickets in the tournament.
Dr. Adnan Chilwan of Dubai Islamic Bank had lifted the Man Of The Series award as his calm and composed attitude helped his team maintain a decorum which pushed the players to perform better, he also played a substantial role with the bat throughout the tournament especially during those high pressure games which took his team to win the championship trophy.
The Aster Y-Nots marquee batsman Shahid was phenomenal with the bat as he scored a mammoth 74 runs to help his team progress to the latter stages of the competition. An excellent asset to have in any team!
Ramana of ABM Avengers was just unplayable with the ball, and boasting an economy of just 1.5 runs per over while taking 5 wickets. What a remarkable player which certainly helped his teams road to the finals of this Fit On Click T10 Corporate Cricket Tournament presented by Dubai Islamic Bank and supported by Dubai Sports Council.
